Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Vivenya runs this website and everything that comes with it — the content, tools, product listings, and every other feature you encounter — to give you a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience (referred to below as the "Services"). Our store operates on the Shopify platform, which underpins how we deliver these Services to you. This notice explains what personal data we gather, how we put it to use, and who we might share it with whenever you browse our site, place an order, or get in touch with us.

Take a moment to read through this notice. Continuing to browse or shop with us means you're confirming that you understand how your information is handled, as laid out below.

Data Controller and Data Protection

Vivenya is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Our contact address is 181 Chester Rd, Watford WD18 0LH, United Kingdom. We handle your personal data in line with data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can reach us about anything in it at business@vivenya.com.

Personal Information We Collect

The information we gather depends on how you engage with the store. This can include your name and contact details such as your delivery and billing addresses, phone number, and email; payment-related information like card details and records of your transactions; login credentials and account preferences if you register with us; records of the products you've browsed, added to your basket, bought, or sent back; anything you share with us when reaching out to our support team; technical details about the device and browser you're using along with your IP address; and general data about how you move through and use our site.

How We Collect It

Much of this comes straight from you — when you set up an account, browse our catalogue, or complete a purchase. The rest is gathered automatically, through cookies and comparable tracking tools, or passed to us by the outside providers who help run our store and by other partners we work with.

How We Use Your Information

Your data helps us get your orders processed and delivered, keep your account running and send you updates about your purchases, respond to your queries through customer support, send you offers and marketing messages (which you're free to stop receiving whenever you like), watch for and prevent fraudulent activity, and meet our obligations under the law.

Our Legal Bases for Using Your Data

Under UK data protection law we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, when we process and deliver your order and handle returns; legal obligation, when we keep order and tax records; legitimate interests, when we prevent fraud, keep the site secure and improve our Services; and consent, for marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

How We Share Your Information

There are certain situations where we pass your data along: to Shopify and other providers who support functions like payments, delivery, analytics, and technical infrastructure; to the suppliers and carriers who pack and deliver your order, who receive your name, delivery address and contact details for that purpose; to advertising and marketing partners, who handle your data under their own privacy terms; to anyone else if you've given us permission; and to legal or governmental authorities where the law requires it.

Our Relationship with Shopify

Our store runs on Shopify's infrastructure, meaning any information you give us is passed along to and processed by Shopify, as well as by other third parties who may operate outside your home country. To learn more about how Shopify treats your data, you can check their Consumer Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users, and you're also able to make use of certain rights directly through the Shopify Privacy Portal at privacy.shopify.com/en.

Cookies and Tracking

Our site uses cookies and similar tools to make your visit smoother, remember what you like, and support our marketing efforts. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can also adjust how cookies work through your browser's settings.

Children's Data

Our Services aren't designed for use by children, and we don't set out to collect information from anyone below the age of majority where they live. Should you become aware that a child has shared their details with us, please let us know and we'll take the necessary steps to delete them.

Data Retention and Security

We hold on to your information only for as long as it's genuinely needed — to deliver the Services, satisfy legal requirements, or settle any disputes that arise. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. That said, no system can guarantee absolute protection, so we'd advise against sending sensitive information through channels that aren't secure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may be entitled to find out what personal data we hold about you, ask us to fix anything inaccurate, request that we erase your data, obtain a copy of it in a portable format, object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, withdraw any consent you have given, and decline to have your information used for targeted advertising or shared with others for such purposes. To act on any of these, contact us at business@vivenya.com. We'll get back to you in line with the relevant laws and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you live in the United Kingdom, these rights come from the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we have handled your data wrongly. If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Utah, you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising on our Your Privacy Choices page. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights, and if we decline a request you can ask us to review that decision by replying to our email.

International Transfers

There's a chance your data will be processed in a country different from the one you live in. Where this applies, we put recognised legal safeguards in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your information.

Changes to This Policy

From time to time we may revise this notice. Whenever that happens, we'll update the date on this page and let you know as required by law. If you keep using our Services after an update goes live, that means you accept the revised terms.
